Very interesting dialogue organized by MSA(Muslim Student Association) Taylor's college in collaboration with Christian Fellowship...

The topic is about 'THE CONCEPT OF GOD'

So, each of the speakers are advised EARLIER to state only the points in their belief only..

NO ATTACKING OTHER RELIGIONS~!~

this is just a dialogue..

About the moderator,

His name is Fakhruddin (I'm not sure about the spelling..^^)

He is a very interesting guy, bcoz he first advised about WE should b RELAXED..

NO TENSE..

(He afraid that everyone will fall asleep during the sessions....but, I DID!!hehe )

he makes the atmosphere change from FORMAL AIR to CASUAL style..

I'm not sure about his position..

but, he is from Ikram n also represent Hidayah centre..

WHO IS HE??

• SHAH KIRIT KALKULAL GOVINDJI..His name perhaps reflects his Non-Muslim origin and also his current status as a Muslim. It would not be an exaggeration to claim that Brother Shah (the way he likes to be called) is probably one the leading and most popular speakers 
  on Comparative Religion in Malaysia.
  
• As the leading da’wah officer at IIS (Islamic Information and Service Foundation) which is non-profit da’wa organisation, he has been delivering talks and giving courses on Comparative Religion for five years now. He is also a Manager at SABA Islamic Media Sdn Bhd.

He started with ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

which mean PEACE..

He first explain about the word ISLAM..

The word originate from 3 words in arabic..

1. Salam = peace n harmony
2. Aslama = willing submission, total submission
3. Salima = purity, sound, authentic 

                        So, ISLAM = PEACE+WILLING SUBMISSION+AUTHENTIC..

However, people can choose whether to obey or not..

If we obey > harmony

If we disobey > DISASTER!!!

Who is MUSLIM??

Anyone who truly n obeys the ONE N ONLY, Almighty God (ALLAH)

Muslim is not according to races but ACTION!

The one who professes Islam as a religion..

Anyone who practice Islam = MUSLIM

But, not every muslim, PRACTICE Islam..

"IF WE WANNA KNOW ABOUT ANY RELIGION,

WE HAVE TO LOOK AT THE SOURCE"

Whatever it is. God always come first!!

n God cannot b described..

but, SURAH AL-IKHLAS give hint about Allah..

1st sentence: GOD is ONE; if  there are many gods, they will share powers. Thus, no absolute power.

2nd sentence: God is eternal, absolute

3rd sentence: God dont have any children nor father nor mother ; if there are,they can lead to argument..

4th sentence: What we see is juz creation.. n God is the creator..

"WORSHIP THE CREATOR, NOT THE CREATION"

We have to worship God as he tells us to worship Him..

NOT as we think we should worship him

(17,110)-Al-Quran mention about the names of almighty God..which describe His characteristics..

Next point is, LANGUAGE-BASED..

the name of ALLAH cannot be plural..

However, God maybe Gods....(many..more than one)

God/Goddess-The God might be male or female..

god- The small letter of g show immature..

(Hujrat,13)-Wahai manusia!sesungguhnya Kami telah menciptakankamu drp seorg lelaki dan seorang perempuan,kemudian Kami jadikan kamu berbangsa-bangsa dan bersuku-suku agar kamu saling mengenali. Sesungguhnya, yg plg mulia d antara kamu d sisi Allah ialah org yg plg BERTAQWA. Sesungguhnya Allah maha mengetahui, lagi Maha Teliti.

ISLAM=ADDIN=WAY OF LIFE

(16,125)-Serulah manusia kpd jln Tuhanmu dgn HIKMAH dan pelajaran yg baik, bantahlah dgn cara yg lebih baik. Sesungguhnya Tuhanmu, Dialah yg lebih mengetahui ttg siapa yg tersesat dr jalanNYA dan Dialah yg lebih mengetahui org yg mendapat petunjuk.
